If you seek clay or metal as a hobby or a profession, come take a class in wheel throwing, hand-building, or in welded metal sculpture. Studio S has offered classes and workshops for the past forty years for both the novice and the professional. The students comprise a wide range of backgrounds and ages as well as skill levels. Many artists, teachers, and professionals come to refresh their skills and learn more techniques. We work with all students on whatever level they are on; from the very beginner to the highly advanced professional. Our objective is to raise one to a high level of understanding and appreciation while at the same time improving their skills. 

With pottery wheel courses, you’ll learn to use the potter’s wheel to create bowls, mugs, teapots, and more. In hand building courses, you’ll create unique ceramic pieces using traditional pottery techniques, including pinching, coils, and slabs.

All clay, glazes, and firing are included in the cost. Students can expect to complete at least 3 pieces during the nine-week session. Please see Student Work below for the many beautiful pieces our students have created!
